We had a wonderful stay at Oborri Shkodër and highly recommend it. Nico and Albie were exceptional hosts who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the courtyard is beautiful. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the pedestrian area, with everything you need nearby. We especially appreciated their help coordinating bike rentals, as well as our transport to Valbona. Their hospitality made everything easy and stress-free. We would gladly stay here again!
This was the perfect place to stay for us during our visit to Shkoder. The hosts, Nico and Albi, were great. They gave us good bicycling recommendations in town, setup our transfer to Valbone, and stored our luggage for three days while we hiked.
2 stars for a specific reason. Very disappointing experience. The 50 year old server ... yeah, you know who you are ... had a sarcastic attitude and seemed to think his personal preferences mattered more than the customer’s order. Instead of bringing what I ordered, he decided on his own to substitute it with something he personally liked better. When I questioned him, he gave a long explanation about why HE prefers the other item instead of simply apologizing. He also claimed they could not make a Negroni listed on their own menu because they supposedly did not have the ingredients, while I could clearly see the ingredients sitting behind the bar. Then we were told the online menu is “old” and does not reflect what they actually serve. If that is true, shame on management for leaving inaccurate menus online. The only positive part of this visit was the kindness of the two Filipino ladies working there. They were sweet and true gems! They treated my wife and I with genuine hospitality and respect, if I could give those 2 girls 5 stars, I would! Oh ... and the garden was well kept.
We had one of the greatest hotel experiences here at Oborri Shkodran thanks to Nico and Albie and the entire team. We felt so welcomed and felt the heart of Albanian culture here. The food, music, comfortable rooms, and beautiful property were a highlight of our trip. We also rented bikes from here to get around the city and explore the lake. It was a perfect stay!!
I walked by this unassuming restaurant on the pedestrian promenade several times. Went in for a beer and saw their back patio. I am back for a third time in about a week! The beauty and intoxicating scent of star jasmine is irresistible. The relaxing music, peaceful environment, oh…and the food!
