We had a mixed experience at Escape Beach Lounge. The location itself is cozy and a lovely place to relax and swim in the Sarandë area. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the drinks were good, which helped make the day more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service felt a little lacking at times, and we didn’t always feel genuinely welcomed or well looked after. The biggest disappointment was the food. One of the dishes we received didn’t seem to match the menu description, and when we raised the issue, the waiter insisted that the ham on the plate was bacon. The scrambled eggs were also quite overcooked, so rather than letting it affect our day, we decided to order something else (and still paid for the first order). We ordered an omelette, which took more than 30 minutes to arrive and was unfortunately quite dry. Later, between swims, we tried the chicken wings, but sadly, they were also disappointing. Overall, these were probably the least enjoyable meals we had during our time in Sarandë. There was also some confusion regarding payment when we were in the sunbeds area (payment up in the restaurant/bar area is separated). We had agreed from the beginning to keep everything on a tab but the waiter repeatedly asked us to pay, which made the experience feel a little uncomfortable. Escape Beach Lounge has a lot of potential, the setting is relaxing, the swimming is lovely, and the drinks are enjoyable. However, the service could be more attentive and welcoming, and the food quality definitely needs improvement. With some changes in these areas, it could be a really great place to spend the day.
Had the absolute pleasure of heading down to Escape Lounge today, and I was lucky enough to be served by Artan. He was the absolute star of the show and single-handedly made our day a 10/10! From his impeccable service to his great chat throughout the day, he truly went above and beyond—he even lent me some flip-flops when I was silly enough to forget my own. If you want a great day, go to Escape Lounge. If you want the best day, do yourself a favor and ask for Artan.
If you are around the area you have to come have dinner here! Authentic food, great service and perfect view! Super recommended!
