Description
The adventure starts at the Monastery of Saint Nicholas, a 13th-century Byzantine landmark in Mesopotam. After a safety briefing and familiarizing yourself with the quad bike, ride along the banks of the Bistrica River on an ancient Byzantine dirt road connecting historic valleys.
Next, park at Justinian’s Bridge, an ancient Roman-Byzantine stone construction, for a brief stop. Then engage 4x4 mode for a mountain ascent, exploring a hidden cave carved into the cliffs along the rugged trail.
Arriving at the Muzinë viewpoint, pause to enjoy panoramic valley views and group photos. Continue downhill toward the Blue Eye spring, where you can walk down to see the deep-blue natural water source bubbling from 50 meters below.
The route continues through forests and river crossings near Brailat, offering challenging and muddy terrain. Following this, ascend to the tranquil Monastery of Saint Mary (Shën Mari) in Kostar, surrounded by quiet and scenic valley views.
On the return, ride past Dreamy Farm along dirt trails before finishing back at the Bistrica River in Mesopotam. The tour concludes with an opportunity to wash off the dust, and for the adventurous, a jump into the cold river is available.
