A breathtaking view from high up in the hills over the entire city. From sitting at the swimming pool to having breakfast or dinner, the view will enhance your experience. Staff were so very kind and friendly, they deserve special recognition.
We went for views and dinner. We were 6 adults. Views were amazing. For dinner Alvaro the waiter was cheerful and attentive. However, the menu and quality of food was abismal. Couldn't have been worse. There was no pizza or fish on the menu!! The orange juice was lovely
Beautiful hotel. Stunning views. Clean, dust-free air! But the highlight were the staff. Although Mr. Alvaro was juggling 101 requests in the busy dining room the evening we came looking for a room, he still managed to show us the room and convince ‚the big boss‘ to let us stay. When we walked back up to the hotel after visiting the castle, Mr. Alvaro came whizzing uphill in a van and most kindly stopped to haul us up the rest of the way. He was always ‚on‘, most attentive and helpful. Mr. Alvaro is much appreciated by the hotel guests and an asset to the hotel. We enjoyed an enormous and most delicious breakfast on both days. The view - with windows open - was breathtaking. Anes, our waiter, patiently explained the various dishes and was most attentive to our wishes. My favorite were the rice pudding and the yoghurt (the yoghurt was to die for!). We also greatly appreciated the workmanship, the beauty of the driveway, the quality of the materials (robust doors, excellent windows), the tasteful decor, the beautiful pools (too chilly to enjoy but lovely to look at)….There is much to like at this hotel. If your travels take you to Gjirokastra, why not on top of everyone else and like a king?

An absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and service were exceptional — warm, professional, and truly welcoming in every way. The authentic Albanian food was outstanding, full of rich traditional flavors and beautifully prepared. Every meal felt special and genuine. And the view… simply breathtaking! Sitting at the top of the hill overlooking the stunning city of Gjirokastër is something you must experience to believe. Peaceful, scenic, and magical — especially at this point of view. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-quality service, amazing cuisine, and one of the most beautiful panoramic views in Albania. Truly a perfect stay!
