Reviews
Fabulous hotel. Great facilities. Central location. Lovely pool area. Helpful, friendly staff. Parking. Highly recommend
Room & Amenities I stayed for 3 nights in the Luxury Double Room with Private Balcony and Jacuzzi. Overall, there were quite a few hiccups during the stay, but the friendly and accommodating service helped make up for many of them. The room itself was spacious, although there was surprisingly little furniture considering the amount of empty space. There was only a small desk and an open wardrobe, with no luggage rack and limited surfaces to put belongings on. There was also no full-length mirror. The balcony was a nice addition and came with a wall-mounted drying rack, a swing chair, and a table with two chairs. There wasn't much of a view, but it was still a pleasant space to sit. The private jacuzzi worked properly, although it took quite a long time to fill. The air conditioning took a while to cool the room initially, but once it got going, it worked well. One useful feature was that it continued running even without the key card in the room. Only one 500 ml bottle of water was provided on arrival, with no refills during the stay. Bathroom amenities and the slippers were also not replenished. The slippers provided were quite flimsy. Bathroom The bathroom was clean, but there were a few design and maintenance issues. The toilet seat was smaller than the actual toilet and was slightly loose and wonky. On the morning of checkout, the toilet flushing mechanism stopped working altogether. The shower design was probably my biggest complaint. There was no shower door or glass partition, only a very small step separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. Water splashed very easily onto the floor outside, making it difficult to keep the bathroom dry. Breakfast Breakfast was good and offered a wide selection. There were plenty of pastries, salads, fruits, hot dishes, and desserts, so it was easy to find something to eat each morning. One day, we had an early tour departure at around 8 am, which coincided with the normal breakfast start time. I asked whether a packed breakfast would be possible, and although the staff member spoke limited English, she kindly arranged for breakfast service to begin at 7:30 am instead so that we could eat before leaving. I thought that was a very thoughtful gesture and appreciated the effort. Service The staff spoke limited English, but everyone we encountered was very friendly and tried their best to help. During our stay, there were several occasions when the water supply stopped. After calling reception one evening, they quickly brought four 500 ml bottles of water to the room. I was also celebrating a birthday during the trip, and the hotel surprised us with a bottle of alcohol and a "Happy Birthday" message on the bed, which was a lovely touch. Upon checkout, they also gave us a small bottle of raki as a farewell gift. Facilities & Location There were some maintenance issues during our stay. On one of the days, there were several brief electricity outages. The lift on our floor also broke, so we had to walk down one floor every time we wanted to use it. The actual hotel entrance is on the side street pavement, rather than where Google Maps indicates. The pool entrance and exit, however, are on the main road. The location is convenient. It is about a 4-minute walk to the bus stop for buses to and from Sarandë, around 4 minutes from supermarkets, and roughly 10 to 20 minutes on foot from various beaches around Ksamil. Overall Although there were quite a few issues during our three-night stay, including temporary water outages, electricity interruptions, lift problems, and some bathroom design flaws, the staff were genuinely friendly and always tried to help. Their willingness to accommodate requests and the thoughtful gestures for my birthday left a positive impression. The hotel still has some maintenance and practical improvements to make, but for us, the good service and decent breakfast helped balance out many of the inconveniences.
Thad a wonderful stay at Dukas Boutique Hotel. The hotel is modern, spotless, and very comfortable. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with any request. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with a great variety of options. The location is excellent-close to the beach, restaurants, and all the main attractions in Kamil, while still being quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend Dukas Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Kamil. It offers outstanding service, comfort, and a truly enjoyable experience. I would definitely stay here again!
