I had a positive experience and a negative experience with Riviera Tours. I purchased a round trip ticket online for Tirana to Himarë. I booked the 9am for Tirana to Himarë and showed up at 8am. The bus wasn’t there and I was told by many people at the bus terminal the bus wasn’t until 11. I ended up paying out of pocket for a different bus and I saw the Riviera bus arrive to the station around 11:45, when my new bus was leaving the terminal. However, I had a positive experience returning from Himarë. The woman at the desk was polite and let me print my ticket even though it wasn’t necessary for the ride (I saw many reddit posts advising all travelers to have physical tickets). I booked the 5am bus (aka 5:15 or 5:30 depending who you ask), arrived to the Malpos gas station at 4:45 and the driver showed up at 5:25. We left immediately and made it to Tirana at about 9:20. The bus was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. We took a short pit stop for snacks and WG. It’s a really early bus but it was definitely worth it to get back to Tirana in 4 comfortable hours (my other bus took over 5 1/2 hours).
