Description
Start your day with a scenic drive from Durrës or Golem through the peaceful Albanian countryside. Rolling fields, small farms, and charming villages offer a glimpse into rural life as you watch farmers at work and children playing along winding paths lined with wildflowers.
Arrive at Karavasta Lagoon, where calm waters shimmer under the sun. Wander along tranquil canals, listen to gentle splashes, and watch herons, egrets, and other birds glide gracefully above, feeling a deep connection to nature. Walk across the hidden bridge through reeds to the watchtower. Climb 230 steps for breathtaking 360° views of the lagoon, pine forests, and the Adriatic coast—a perfect spot to pause and soak it all in. Visit the Visitor Center to learn about migratory birds, rare Dalmatian pelicans, and the park’s unique ecosystems. Then stroll along the Fishermen’s Bridge toward the sparkling sea, where gentle waves and open skies create moments of pure tranquility. Return through the countryside, reflecting on a day filled with discovery, serenity, and the quiet magic of Albania’s natural landscapes.

Important Information
- 1. Bring mosquito or insect repellent
- 2. Bring swimwear and a towel if you plan to enjoy the beach; please dry off before entering the bus
- 3. No eating on the bus or in the car
- 4. Wear comfortable shoes and light layers
- 5. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a camera, or binoculars for birdwatching
- 6. An optional boat ride to the lagoon is available for 500 ALL per person (group price/cash accepted). The ride lasts approximately 30 minutes and is not included in our service and not our responsibility
- 7. Bird sightings at Divjakë–Karavasta National Park depend on the season. The park is very large, and birds may be spread out or may have migrated at certain times of the year, so sightings are not guaranteed
- 8. We are not permitted to approach Pelican Island in order to avoid disturbing the pelicans and other wildlife
- 9. You may see litter along the roads; this is outside of our control
