Starting from Cerciz Topulli square, you will walk to one of Gjirokastër’s oldest neighborhoods, Pazar i Vjeter, to meet your hosts Marjeta and her husband. The class begins with a glass of raki or a soft drink.
Under Marjeta’s guidance, you will prepare a vegetarian menu featuring three traditional dishes. These include “Qofte bobollaqe,” based mainly on yogurt, “Qifqis,” rice balls unique to Gjirokastër, and “Hasude,” a local dessert. Each dish is accompanied by a seasonal salad prepared in advance.
After cooking, share the meal with the group paired with a complimentary glass of wine, raki, or a soft drink. The experience concludes with a recipe booklet so you can recreate these dishes at home.
