Description
We will pick you up from your accommodation in the morning from Tirana and begin a scenic drive toward the coastal city of Vlorë, where the mountains meet the sea and your journey into Albania’s hidden coastline begins.
From the moment we arrive, the experience shifts into adventure. We board our speedboat and head out across open water, leaving the mainland behind and entering a world of islands, caves, and untouched nature.
Our first stop is the mysterious Sazan Island — a place where history feels frozen in time. Once a secret military base, the island still hides an abandoned “ghost town” of old bunkers, tunnels, and military buildings scattered across the landscape. Walking here feels like stepping into another era, surrounded by silence, wild nature, and the echoes of its past. After exploring, you can also swim in crystal-clear waters right off this forgotten island.
We then continue along the dramatic coastline to the legendary Haxhi Ali Cave — a natural wonder with a powerful story. Named after the famous 16th-century pirate Haxhi Ali, who used this cave as a hiding place for his ships, it still carries the spirit of adventure and rebellion. As we enter by boat, you’ll feel the atmosphere change instantly: towering rock walls, deep echoes, and glowing turquoise water create a scene that feels almost cinematic — as if you’ve entered the world of old seafarers and hidden treasure.
The journey continues to the pristine Karaburun Peninsula, stopping at Saint Vasil Bay — a secluded paradise accessible only by sea. Here you’ll have around 2 hours of free time to swim in untouched waters, relax on wild beaches, explore the coastline, or simply enjoy the silence of nature in one of the most unspoiled parts of the Albanian Riviera.
After the speedboat experience, we return to Vlorë for about 1 hour of free time along the seaside promenade. A relaxed walk, a coffee by the sea, and the lively atmosphere of the city offer the perfect contrast after a day of wild discovery.
