Walking into this place feels like stepping through a doorway into a different city. The air hits you first — warm bread, sizzling lamb, a hint of sumac and mint — and you know you're in for something special. We started with the mezze platter: smoky baba ganoush, tangy haydari, and hummus so silky it barely needed the fresh-baked pide to scoop it up. The dolma were perfectly balanced — bright with lemon, not a hint of mushiness. For mains, the Adana kebab was the star of the night — hand-minced lamb, charred just right, with a slow burn from the pepper that builds instead of overwhelms. My partner's İskender kebab arrived swimming in tomato sauce and browned butter over pillowy bread, and disappeared in record time. Save room for baklava. Theirs is shatteringly crisp, not drowning in syrup like lesser versions — you can actually taste the pistachio underneath. Service was warm without hovering, and the Turkish tea kept coming without us asking twice. This isn't just dinner — it's a reminder of why Turkish cuisine deserves way more attention than it gets. Go hungry, and go with people you don't mind sharing plates with. Want me to tailor it — a specific restaurant name, city, cuisine details, or a shorter version for something like Yelp or Google?

The restaurant’s slogan is “the best halal food in the Balkans,” but unfortunately our experience was very far from that claim. We ordered rice with kavurma, chicken shish, and çiğ köfte. The rice was undercooked, and some of the kavurma pieces had a gooey texture. The chicken shish was also disappointing — the bulgur was overcooked and wet, some chicken pieces had a gamey aftertaste, and the onion tasted old and spoiled. Another major issue was the complete lack of sides or sauces. There was no garlic sauce, no cacik/tzatziki, no meze, no dips, and not even a small salad. Even the çiğ köfte, which actually tasted good, came only with lettuce and pomegranate molasses — no parsley, no lemon, nothing extra on the side. Considering the prices, which are much higher than many restaurants in Tirana, we expected far better quality, more generous portions, and a more complete dining experience. At the very least, proper accompaniments should come with the meals, especially at these prices. To be fair, the staff was kind and polite. When we mentioned that we did not enjoy the food, they offered us dessert, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, after the overall experience, we were not really excited for it. The slogan sets very high expectations, but the food quality, presentation, and overall experience did not come close to matching it.

We visited Hayal Et in Tirana with high expectations, especially after hearing good things about it. Overall, it was an okay experience, and it’s a good option for those looking for halal food in the city. The grilled lamb chops were absolutely amazing — juicy, flavourful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. However, the kebab and their famous Hayal wrap did not really do justice to the hype. The kebab was overcooked and quite dry instead of being juicy and tender, while the wrap was just okay and nothing particularly special. The service could also be improved. Since we were sitting outside, it was difficult to get the staff’s attention, and we constantly had to wave, call out, or physically go over to them for assistance. Overall, the experience was decent, mainly because the food is halal and the lamb chops were excellent, but there is definitely room for improvement in both service and consistency of the food.

🌞 Everything was perfect — from the presentation to the flavors. The 11-item breakfast plate was generous and beautifully prepared. The simit was served warm, the tea was fresh, and every bite was delicious. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff are genuinely friendly and cheerful. A wonderful way to start the day — highly recommended! 🫶🍽️☕ Two days later, we came back for dinner and ordered two Adana kebabs, a mixed grill, lahmacun, and lentil soup. Everything was incredibly tasty — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and simply beyond amazing! The food quality and consistency are truly impressive. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had! 😍🔥🥙
