If you are looking for an incredible traditional Albanian meal - you HAVE to come here. This amazing restaurant is tucked away in the upper mountain streets of Berat. The family that runs this place is incredibly kind and they know how to cook. 😍 We had the most incredible spread of stuffed eggplants, baked meatballs, sour cream and bread that was so flavourful. A 10/10. We will be back and we’re bringing friends! ☀️🥳

An absolutely stunning experience from walking in to walking out. Family run, appears to be a repurposed home / living area. Wonderful view, friendly service and delicious food. The raki is a standout

The wine window is such a fun idea. Lovely wine. The white is especially lovely. Leaving the window, going down the hill to the right near Lillie’s, there is a lovely lady who sells homemade jams, wine, and olive oil. I would also recommend checking that out while you’re in the area.

At first, I thought First Windows wine in Albania was just a little shot bottle, but it turned out to be a full bottle of wine. That was a pleasant surprise! It definitely got us in the mood to keep the adventure going near Mangelem. Sometimes the unexpected discoveries end up being the most memorable parts of a trip.

An absolutely magical spot that you simply cannot miss when visiting Berat! This iconic wine window completely charmed us. First of all, the atmosphere of the entire place is incredible. Sitting in the historic streets of Berat, soaking up the vibe of this ancient town, and watching the world go by has an incredible charm. Secondly, the service is truly original and informal, yet incredibly attentive and friendly. Right from the first second, you feel more like you are visiting good friends rather than being in a regular establishment. Lastly – and most importantly – the wine. The local wine was very good, in fact, close to perfect. Beautifully balanced, full of flavor, and perfectly capturing the character of the local region. If you are looking for an authentic experience, great people, and a perfect glass of wine with an unrepeatable atmosphere, this window is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!
