10 out of 10!!! Hospitality is top tier. Staff is friendly, server was attentive, but the grandmother's that are running the place... absolute dolls. I got the biggest hug and a gift of her homemade apricot jam. Such warm and bubbly ladies. Atmosphere: beautiful decor. Clean. Modern meets traditional. You can tell it was well thought out. The food!!! OH THE FOOD!!! Musaka is a large portion, but sooooooo good. Felt like a warm hug of comfort food. Hubby had the grilled pork, well seasoned, tender and delicious. Chips are fresh cut potatoes. Seasonal salad was good, fresh ingredients and a nice amount of vinegar and seasoning. And then for a treat, fresh slices of sweet, red, juicy watermelon. Just to be greedy, and not to leave our hotel room later, we did more Musaka amd pork chops for takeaway. So glad we came
I had a really great meal here and would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for traditional Albanian food. It’s a family-run restaurant and you can really feel the care that goes into both the food and the service. I ordered the musaka with potatoes, the mixed stuffed pepper and eggplant, and the baked yogurt with lamb. Every dish was delicious, comforting, and full of flavour. For dessert, I had the baklava and the kasat parfe. I’d never heard of kasat parfe before, but the lady chef recommended it, so I thought I’d give it a try. It looked quite simple, but it was so good, creamy, lightly sweet, with crushed nuts and little chocolate bits. It ended up being my favourite dessert of the meal, and I’m really glad I tried it. They also brought out some fresh melon on the house, which was a lovely surprise. The service was excellent throughout. The staff regularly checked in to make sure everything was okay, and the chef herself came over to ask how the food was, which was a really nice personal touch. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, and I especially liked the traditional interior with its beautiful stone walls. Great food, warm hospitality, and a genuinely enjoyable dining experience. I’d definitely come back if I’m ever in Albania again.
This is an authentic, family run restaurant with delicious traditional Albanian food. The meals are generous, hearty and filling. The service is brilliant, they brought a ride-on toy for my toddlers who were fighting which distracted them and kept them happy. They also gave us a delicious fresh plate of watermelon at the end. We had the qoftes, the fergese, the traditional beef stew and we tried the Rakia (wow very strong haha). We loved our lunch here and highly recommend!
Such a great local food experience. We had the village salad, lasagna, stuffed eggplant, and the local minced meat with eggs, everything was very tasty. Stuffed eggplant was my fav. The location is also great, right by the river.
We ordered mixed stuffed eggplants and pepper, traditional beef stew, Kima and eggs and dessert. The food were very well seasoned however I find that the dishes were a bit too oily for my liking, it would have been 5/5 if there was less oil. I also know this is a very personal preference. Overall good service and nice atmosphere! Tasty well seasoned food
