7.5.2024: I took tuesday train at 6:00 to Lac (Gjorm) for 100 Leke. Train was quite full and the journey took 2 hours 20 minutes with few quick stops.
Un lugar en peligro de extinción que merece la pena visitar. Solo circulan dos trenes a Laç lunes y martes a las 6:00. Varios locales usan el tren para ir a la iglesia de dicho pueblo. La experiencia es brutal. El billete cuesta 95 lek
Currently, there is one train per week (Tuesday at 6:00 AM to Laç). An unforgettable and surely unique experience in Europe on the Durrës-Elbasan line.
First of all: there is no train service to Tirana! Nevertheless worth a visit if you are in town, its not far from the centre.
It certainly has its charm: an abandoned (at most rented out as squatters, people live on the top floor) disused station where you can just wander around and hop onto a stray train. You immediately start fantasizing about how busy it once was here when trains were still running. You can simply walk into the station, but you do have to walk around to the back.
