Cute bookstore with nice view of the mountains and good coffee
We came across this lovely little gem while wandering the back streets of Gjirokastër, away from the tourist crowds, and we’re so glad we did. It’s much more than a bookshop. Alongside a carefully curated selection of international and Albanian books, you’ll find unique artistic souvenirs that are genuinely different from anything on the main streets or in the coastal tourist towns. I was delighted to pick up a book by a local Albanian author, but the real highlight was meeting the owner. Her passion for Albanian culture, history and literature made our visit truly memorable, and our conversation gave us a much deeper understanding of the country than any guidebook could. If you’re visiting Gjirokastër, don’t miss this hidden gem.
Came here after visiting Skenduli house. The young guy working there is very kind and the fresh watermelon juice was the best!
Across from the museum you find the tiniest books and coffeeshop in Town. The cold teas and delicious and the juices got raving reviews from another visitor. Books, books marks and small souvenirs in a quiet setting with a tiny terrace. A place for readers and dwellers to sit and forget about time.
Very cozy little café combined with a bookstore and a really welcoming atmosphere. We had the fermented pineapple drink and the strawberry drink, both sugar-free. Definitely worth a visit!
