The walking tour with Bruno was brilliant. He was welcoming and very generous with his time. Going on this walking tour of Berat with Bruno was a very personal and authentic perspective from a well respected person of the community. He was able to link back to his own memories of growing up in the town, but also shared history in a clear sequential order that made sense to us. I really loved how he shared lots of his knowledge from his personal point of view as someone living and working in this incredible town. He let us detour through the narrow streets to see things we wanted to explore from what he explained, and even showed us something special. A surprise that only people who do the tour with Bruno get to see, so I won't spoil the surprise. His recommendations were also very good for places to eat and visit in our own time. After walking with Bruno, we were sad we had only a little more time to explore this diverse city, but fell in love with the city through his storytelling. If you want a genuine and real perspective of Berat, take a walk with Bruno.

One of the highlights was visiting the home of an elderly Albanian woman whose family has lived there for eight generations—an experience that felt incredibly authentic.
