We will pick you up at your hotel in Tirana for a short drive into the picturesque countryside, leaving behind the bustling capital. Our destination for today is a charming family-owned winery nestled in a picturesque village just outside the city. Upon arrival at the winery, we will be warmly welcomed by our passionate host. This region is known for the warm hospitality of local winemakers, who take pride in sharing their unique wines and winemaking techniques with visitors. We will visit the vineyard, where we will learn about the history of winemaking in Albania and the unique local grape varieties that thrive in the region. The combination of Mediterranean climate and the microclimate of central Albania region create the ideal conditions for grape cultivation, making this a truly privileged location. The region is known to some of the 100 native grape varieties such as: Vlosh, Kallmet, Shesh, Pula, Mjaltëz, and Kryqës. We will also have the opportunity to explore the wine cellar, where the family produces and ages their wines, before heading to the tasting room. You'll have the chance to savour 3 glasses of distinct wines paired with a delightful selection of local snacks. After the wine tasting, relax and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the vineyards or take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Later we will drive back downhill to Tirana, marking the end of an amazing experience.
