Set off from the Komani Lake terminal on a breathtaking journey through northern Albania’s hidden paradise. This relaxing boat tour will carry you along the emerald waters of Komani Lake, surrounded by towering mountain cliffs and untouched natural scenery, towards the legendary Shala River—often called “the Albanian Thailand” for its crystal-clear waters and spectacular beauty. Begin your adventure in the morning as you board a comfortable, well-equipped boat at the Komani terminal. Be welcomed by your friendly captain and receive a short introduction to the region’s rich history, geography, and traditions. Glide across the tranquil lake as majestic peaks and wild canyons unfold before your eyes, creating a feeling of peaceful isolation from the outside world. Important Information

• The only road from Vau i Dejës to the Komani terminal is quite bumpy, and the drive can take up to 2 hours. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure. The full day trip lasts around 6 to 7 hours in total. The boat journey takes approximately 2 hours round trip. At the Shala River, you’ll walk between rocks, so comfortable shoes are recommended. If you plan to swim, bring towels and beachwear—the water temperature ranges from 5°C to 10°C.
