It is also home to one of the most beautiful castles in the country, situated on the top hill overlooking the city. And of course, as in every other part of Albania, you will taste the delicious typical food of the area. We start from the city of Durres and after we arrive in Gjirokaster start to explore the city. The tour continues towards the Castle of this city where you will learn more about history, enjoy architecture and nature. Afterwards, you will visit one of the best preserved house in the old town, more than 300 years old, to witness how traditional families used to live and the habits they shared in a community living. At the end of the tour, you will have some free time to explore, to walk through the old bazaar and interact with locals and buy souvenirs and have lunch.
