Description

The tour starts from Saranda ( from the port of Saranda or your hotel ). The driving time is 30- 45 min depending on the traffic. A very interesting visit in one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in South Albania. A Roman theater, the gymnasium, the Roman bath, the Baptistery, Gran Basilica, the ancient gates ( the Lake Gate and the Lion Gate) and at the end we visit the Venetian castle. Inside the castle the possibility to visit a very modest museum with objects found in the city during excavations in time. A gorgeous view from the top of the walls overlooking Vivary Channel and Ionian sea on one side and Butrinti lake on the other. A strategic position and one of the ancient cities that is still well preserved by nature. After the tour some free time to take pictures or have a refreshment drink. Back in the city, in Saranda.
