Begin your journey in a charming local setting where you'll learn to prepare some of Berat’s most beloved traditional dishes, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Under the guidance of a local host, get hands-on with recipes of 3 traditional dishes like: -byrek, -meatballs, -stuffed peppers, -tavë kosi, -fërgesë, -lakror, while learning the cultural stories behind each dish. While the dishes simmer, enjoy a guided tasting (1 wine + 2 raki ) of locally produced Albanian wines, including varieties unique to the Berat region. Learn about native grapes (depends on the meny of the day) like: -Puls (Pules), -Shesh i Zi, -Shesh i Bardhe -or Kallmet, and discover how each wine complements the flavors of traditional cuisine. No Albanian table is complete without raki — and you’ll taste it the local way. Sample artisanal raki made from grapes, plums, or mulberries, and hear the stories and traditions behind Albania’s most iconic spirit.
